4 Tips for Sharing Events: Scrolling through social media, don’t use time-based words in posts like TODAY, TOMORROW, or NEXT WEEK – especially on Facebook!
What’s wrong with saying come to my fun event today?
Well, I’m just now seeing posts from organizations and musicians who had events last weekend.
If I look at the date on the post, I can clearly see their “TODAY” event notification was shared five days ago, yet their post is still showing up in my feed five (5) days later!
4 Tips for Sharing Events
- Always include the day and date of the event in every post.
- Your followers may not see your content the day you post it.
- Your followers may not see your posts at all.
- Remember that event posts will appear long after it’s over.
To be even more helpful, include a link in every post to the event information that’s published on your website. That way followers will see the actual date, especially if they see a “TODAY” post.
Always always always state the date of your event!
