Whenever you Google something, Google’s new AI search answers your question at the top, right above website listings. If you have a list of FAQs, answers from your FAQ Page might appear in Google AI search results.
Google’s new AI search answers your question right at the top. Google will pull content directly from a website that clearly explains that question.
So how can your business get noticed in this new world of AI Search?
By adding Q&A content to your website and creating a good FAQ Page.
Why Your Website Needs a FAQ Page – Especially Now!
When you include Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) or Q&A sections on your website, you’re doing more than just helping visitors.
You’re giving Google exactly what it needs to feature your website in search results.
And, this helps your business appear in those new AI Overview boxes at the top.
What FAQ and Q&A Content Do for You
Google loves content that:
- Clearly answers a question in simple language
- Shows that you’re an expert in your field
- Helps people find what they’re looking for quickly
If your website has clear Q&A content that matches what people are typing or saying into Google, your business is more likely to be featured in voice searches, local search results, and AI-generated answers.
Why FAQ Page Matters Now
Google’s new AI results are changing how people discover businesses.
Instead of showing ten blue links, Google AI gives users summarized answers that are built from trusted websites with helpful content.
If your competitors have well-written FAQ pages and you don’t, Google may choose their content for those featured answers.
How to Create FAQs for Your Business
How do you get started on creating your FAQ Page?
Think about the questions your customers ask you every week, either by phone or email.
You already know the most common questions people ask, so write them down and turn them into content.
To help you get started, I created FAQ Page examples for a few local industries.
Home Builder:
- How long does it take to build a custom home in Northern Michigan?
- Do you offer design services or work with architects?
- What’s included in your construction estimates?
Retail Shop:
- Do you offer local pickup or delivery?
- What’s your return policy?
- How often do you restock seasonal products?
Service Business:
- How far in advance should I book an appointment?
- Do you provide free consultations?
- What payment methods do you accept?
Start with five to ten solid questions that real customers frequently ask you.
Then, answer them clearly in one or two short paragraphs.
Write honest answers! Do not use industry jargon no one else understands.
Where to Add FAQs
You can add a short FAQ block at the bottom of your Home or on each service page.
In addition, I highly recommend creating a dedicated FAQ Page with answers that link to related services.
Use your SEO plugin to add FAQ Schema. This will help Google understand your questions and show them in search results.
Quick SEO Tip
Refresh your FAQ Page and Q&A content regularly!
If you start getting the same new customer questions often, add them to your list.
Fresh, helpful content shows Google your website is active and trustworthy. This will help push your website higher in both AI results and regular search listings.
FAQ Page Reminder
FAQs aren’t just filler on your website. A good FAQ Page is a great SEO power tool.
Writing good FAQs will build trust with your customers, prove your expertise to Google, and give your business a better chance of appearing at the very top of today’s AI search results.
