Are you wondering how to manage you Google Business Profile from your phone? Since the separate Google Business Profile app is long gone, there’s a much easier way.
Ever since Google retired the old standalone “Google My Business” app, everything happens directly inside the apps you are probably using every day:
- Google Maps and Google Search
Managing your business profile with Google Search and Google Maps is easy on your mobile device.
No more separate profile app. (That thing was glitchy anyway.)
Like you, I’m a busy business owner and I love shortcuts like this one.
Manage Google Business Profile on Phone
Google has made it easy to manage your profile without downloading anything new.
These two apps on your phone or tablet are now your Google Business Profile dashboard.
First, make sure you are signed into the Google account that is associated with your business.
On your phone, just open Google Search.
- Search your business name and your management tools appear at the top.
On your phone, just open Google Maps app.
- Tap your profile photo, then click on the Business button.
In both Google Search and Google Maps, you can update hours, add photos, post updates, and reply to reviews.
Update Your Profile on the Go!
One of the easiest ways to keep your local ranking high is to feed Google fresh content, and you can do it right from your phone.
You don’t need a clunky dashboard.
Next time you take a great photo of your storefront, new products, or a completed job:
- Open Google Maps on your phone
- Upload your new photo to your profile or create a post with a caption
Helpful Tip: You must be logged into your business account with Google instead of your personal Gmail account on your phone. Check the round profile icon in the top right corner of Chrome or Maps if you need to swap accounts!
