Not many businesses are actively creating Posts on their profile. Being active on Google My Business might give you a leg up on your competition!
Post at least once a week or more
Google My Business Posts are a great way to share business news, offers, sales, promotions, and events. For visuals, you can upload images and videos.
Your posts are archived on your profile and shown on Google Maps so be sure to post at least once a week.
Helpful Tip for Post Images
I’m the type of person who prefers to design my graphics for the exact size of the post image area. If you’re like me, then design your GMB Post images with the following:
- Aspect ratio of 4:3 -OR-
- Use the default size of 720px wide x 540px high
Avoid uploading square images or they’ll get cropped by Google.
Posting frequently on your Google My Business listing means more visibility for your company, more traffic to your website, more phone calls, and more sales!
How often should we post on Google My Business?
I recommend that you add new posts on your Google My Business listing at least once every 7 days. I post a few times a week and am finding improved rankings and excellent results. Why? Because Google looks favorably on the businesses that use Google products more often.
