The HarborActive team of Rachel Smolinski and Marcie Wolf competed for funding at the Connect Michigan 2015 Broadband Conference on Tuesday, October 20th in Lansing, Michigan.
Their Get Digitally Fit – Be HarborActive infomercial-style presentation got the crowd laughing and, thanks to everyone who voted for HarborActive via text on Tuesday, the HarborActive team win $500 for the community learning program! The awards were sponsored by ACD and presented during the closing session of the Connect Michigan Broadband Conference.
Rachel Smolinski and Marcie Wolf also led a panel discussion at the same Broadband Conference on Community Driven Digital Literacy. Attendees learned how HarborActive came to be and how to start their own digital literacy program in their community.
