So many marketing channels, so little time! Well, guess what? You don’t have to be active on every social media site!
Digital marketing helps us increase our brand awareness, gain new customers, and improve the traffic coming to our websites. With all the options available online, you might be wondering which social platforms you should focus on.
When it comes to posting for your business, I have three places I recommend that you invest your time.
Instagram – Professional Profile
Instagram is quickly becoming one of the most popular social media platforms. People choose to spend more time on Instagram because it offers a more positive social experience.
Personally, I love scrolling through all of the beautiful visuals and photos. I love watching all of the selfie videos in Reels.
Professionally, I’ve gotten some great clients from Instagram.
Instagram is also a great place for your business to reach a younger audience.
Facebook – Business Page
Love it or hate it, Facebook is still the largest social media site in the world so it’s pretty likely that your target audience is there.
Facebook has become more of an older crowd (over 30) and users tend to login at least twice a day.
Facebook is a great place to share links to your blog posts to drive more traffic to your website, plus boosting posts or creating affordable ads can help you get more exposure.
Google My Business – Google Profile
Google gave you a free social posting platform with your own profile where your business can share photos, posts, events, and web links.
Google Posts offer more advantages over social media posts – they’re more searchable, they’ll expand your reach, and you’ll see a positive impact on your ranking.
Make sure you add new photos of your business often and create a new post at least once a week.
Google My Business is the best way to put your local business in the top of people’s search results.
Don’t Forget About Your Own Website!
We tend to be so hyper-focused on our social media channels that we neglect our own website. Add new blog posts often and share links on social media – this will bring new traffic to your site.
Plus, Google is always looking for fresh, new content so update your website often!
